  • Alumni Sports Day - Sign Up

The Alumni Association of the University of Edinburgh Sports Union has organised an Alumni Sports Day for Saturday 20th April 2013. As a Graduate of the University of Edinburgh, you will no doubt have warm memories of the friendships, successes and fun that came from taking part in sport at the University of Edinburgh. And we would like to welcome you back to reconnect with us and celebrate our successes in sport. Some of our most successful sports clubs will be taking part in the day, including Volleyball, Basketball, Ladies Rugby, Trampoline, Athletics, Triathlon, Cricket, Badminton, Korfball, Netball, Clay Pigeon Shooting and Rifle, and will use the facilities offered by the Centre for Sport and Exercise; Pleasance, St. Leonards and Peffermill. In addition, the Canoe, Boat and Hillwalking Clubs have organised trips which take place out with the city. We hope to see many graduates return to Edinburgh for these events which will see alumni teams compete against current students in many of the sports. A reception will take place in the evening at The Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh and will include a traditional Scottish meal and live music. Awards will also be presented to the Alumnus who has travelled the furthest to take part, the Alumnus who was first to graduate and the sports team who is able to reconnect with the most graduates. The purpose of the Alumni Sports Day is to reunite University of Edinburgh graduates and recreate links between them, and current students. The University of Edinburgh is a fantastic place to be involved in sports and we look forward to celebrating our sporting achievements with our alumni and students, who have each in turn made significant contributions towards the success of our sports clubs and the Sports Union.
