We would be grateful if you could respond by <b>Friday 22nd November 2013</b>.</p><p><b>What do we mean by Academic Support? </b><br />Recognising that the term ‘academic support’ has many meanings, in this context it is used as a collective descriptor for learning development activities, teaching and services relevant and yet additional to the main curriculum, that support students’ capacity to achieve to the maximum of their potential. It includes support for</p><ul><li>orientation, induction, transition between levels of study and to professional practice</li><li>the development of learning awareness and effective learning strategies</li><li>academic study skills enhancement, including English language, information and digital literacies</li></ul><p>See our <a href="http://issuu.com/artslondonlibraries/docs/academic_support-8" target="”_blank”" rel="nofollow">Strategy for Academic Support 2013-16</a> for further explanation. Your response to this survey will inform implementation of the Strategy and in particular will help shape the new University-wide offer that will include both face to face activities and development of a high profile online resource.</p><p>Data collected through this survey is being managed by an external researcher, engaged by Libraries and Academic Support Services, and will only be used to scope the future resource provision.</p><p>The survey will take about 10 minutes of your time. At the end you are invited to provide your email address in order to be entered into the prize draw for £50 worth of Amazon or John Lewis vouchers.</p>
