The Financial Investments team
The Portfolio Manager will be joining Kirk Kapital’s Financial Investment team which manages multiple individual portfolios tailored to their partners’ precise needs. The Financial Investments team also manages the capital on behalf of a charitable foundation, Edith & Godtfred Kirk Christiansen’s Foundation. The team operates with a top-down approach focusing on tactical asset allocation, strategic portfolio construction and risk management and cover multiple asset classes as equity, fixed income, FX, private equity, hedge funds and other alternatives. The team has an ambitious ESG strategy.
The role
As the new Portfolio Manager, you will take part in several tasks in the investment phase ranging from investment analysis, research, and modelling to preparation of investment proposals. You will also be involved in the review of existing investments and preparation of internal reporting etc. Kirk Kapital makes use of external managers and you will be involved in the selection of and corporation with some of the leading external managers globally to ensure best-in-class performance within every asset class. You will become part of a dedicated team where teamwork is essential and where continuous knowledge sharing is more important than attending daily meetings and committees. They have a flat organizational structure and agile processes, and it is important that every team member has influence on the investment processes in order to create a long-term return for current shareholders and generations to follow. Currently, the team is implementing a new ESG strategy, and you will have a unique opportunity to be involved in the design of a multi-generational sustainable portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:

Conduct analysis of asset allocation, portfolio construction, and strategy-specific investments to ensure that portfolios are aligned

Support the implementation of investment decisions in the different asset classes to deliver positive investment performance and the desired outcomes for Kirk Kapital

Stay current on market developments, analyze market conditions, and understand the investment environment in order to develop informed and measured investment opinions

Assist in portfolio trading and monitor exposures across portfolios relative to target exposures and recommend portfolio adjustments

Support risk management processes by reviewing and analyzing risk information to identify emerging risks and assist in the development of mitigation strategies

Support the ongoing portfolio optimization based on long-term return expectations

Participate in developing and implementing the ongoing ESG strategy

Assist in the development of the new entity Kirk Kapital Fondsmæglerselskab that holds all financial portfolios
The Candidate
The ideal candidate has 1-4 years of relevant experience as an analyst, portfolio manager, or similar. You have a strong academic background with a relevant degree and are among top ten percent of your class. You have experience with financial analysis and modelling, and experience with and interest for ESG is a plus. You can prioritise and coordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are being met, as well as paying attention to details.
