IASR Membership Application Form

Applicants for Full membership will generally be asked to name an existing member of IASR as their sponsor. This sponsor will be contacted before the Executive Board makes a final decision. Please direct any questions to iasradmin@gmail.com.

Applicants for Student membership will be asked to upload proof of student status and describe how their research is related to IASR, which the Student Representatives will review. Please direct any questions to iasrstudentrep@gmail.com.

Student members are graduate or undergraduate students engaging in sex research or related work at an institute of higher learning.

Research or laboratory coordinators are also eligible for Student membership, along with Student member conference registration fees, provided that they have held their position for less than two years. If you have been a coordinator for more than 24 months, you can apply to become a Full member. Anyone engaged in sex research is also welcome to register to attend IASR meetings as a non-member.

If you are interested in IASR but not currently conducting sex research, we would be happy to speak with you about opportunities to become involved in the future! As part of yearly membership renewals, we ask Full members to optionally state whether they will be accepting graduate students or postdoctoral fellows next year. Please email our Student Representatives at iasrstudentrep@gmail.com if you are interested in learning about potential mentors in sex research.

Please name an existing member of IASR to sponsor your application. They will be emailed a copy of your application and asked to provide some brief information to support you.

If you are applying to move up from Student to Full membership and you have presented work at a recent IASR conference, naming a sponsor is not required. Instead, please include the year and title of your presentation(s) in describing how your research area/work interests relate to IASR below.
