COMPLIANCY REQUIREMENTS - BORING BUT IMPORTANT

Mangosat and NWNS are committed to conducting its business with honesty and integrity and in compliance with the laws of all jurisdictions in which we are active. Because of the origin of most of our customers, two laws of particular importance are the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the UK Bribery Act 2010.

Mangosat / NWNS is also commited to comply with the World Bank’s Anti-Corruption Guidelines, the United Nations Convention on Corruption, and the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions.

To ensure compliance with these standards and laws the NWNS / Mangosat has adopted the Code of Conduct. A Service Offering consists of a set of Service Commitments which define the service offerings in terms of availability, scope and pricing. FIXED RADIO LINKS

Fixed radio links are frequently used for various purposes within telecommunications and broadcast networks, on either a permanent or temporary basis. Usually the justification for using a radio link instead of a wired or optical fibre link relates to geography or economics. They can often be used to provide fixed communication links between stations in a network supporting different services (such as mobile communications).

Radio frequency interference (RFI) is the presence of unwanted signals that detrimentally impact a radio and satellite communication system. The causes of RFI include external, naturally occurring sources as well as man-made sources created through out-of-band transmissions, radiation from network antennas and cabling, and the proximity of adjacent networks operating on overlapping frequencies. RFI is a fast growing, global problem.
