Thank you for your interest in the British Suzuki Gala Week.
We expect to receive several thousand applications, so please read the following information carefully to ensure your submission is accurate.
Provisional concert repertoire is on the website, final concert repertoire will be announced after the application process is complete and successful students will be allocated their place accordingly. Places will be allocated in the Gala concert or Playtogether depending on availability and level.
Please indicate your child's current top piece in their book to enable places to be allocated. Each child will only be allocated a place for one instrument, so please enter their preference under "1st Instrument". You may select a "2nd Instrument" as well in case your first choice is not available. All performers will play down through all other pieces in their book from the group they are allocated.
Mandolin and Harp: Please click HERE to fill in a separate form.
Violinists: Advanced players may elect to join in the following two pieces:
- Eccles Sonata in G Minor
- Monti Czardas (from Solos For Young Violinists Volume 5. Warning: we are ONLY playing from this edition) and
- Mendelssohn Violin Concerto 3rd mvt (Warning: official BSI edition only).
Both versions will be available from the BSI.
Please indicate your current (or best) book piece AND whether you would like to enter the Eccles, Czardas or Mendelssohn groups. Your 1st Instrument choice must be Violin to be able to select these extras. *Please note that performers in these advanced groups will play all the other violin pieces in the concert, including the Eccles Sonata, ie. if you choose the Mendelssohn you will also be expected to play the Czardas, Eccles and all other repertoire.
Pianists: Please choose from the six available pieces. You must upload your audition video to YouTube as an "Unlisted" (Not Public or Private) video and enter the correct URL next to your choice. You can audition for more than one piece but will only be granted a place in one piece, so please order these in preference from first to last.
Please make sure you have checked your repertoire with your teacher before applying.
