Important Note for Guardians of Fearful/Nervous Dogs:

For nervous or fearful dogs - especially those uncomfortable with strangers - I recommend starting with remote consultations.

The presence of a stranger can increase your dog’s stress before any work even begins. When a dog feels unsafe, they’re far less able to concentrate or learn. They may react, or shut down - appearing to cope, but then reacting later 'out of nowhere.'

Neither response is helpful when the goal is to build genuine comfort and confidence.

Working remotely allows your qualified professional to assess the situation clearly, create a tailored plan, and guide you in setting your dog up for success - without adding unnecessary stress. This often leads to more effective, lasting results.

I work exclusively remotely, as most of the dogs I support are not comfortable with strangers - and in the majority of cases, this approach is both appropriate and highly effective.
