  • Financial contributions:

The recommended donation for the week is £100, or £65 if you are a student. This goes towards the basic costs of your stay including accomodation, all your food, tea and coffee, your laundry, and induction in new skills, etc. Payment can be made upon arrival by cash or card or by bank transfer. Please contact secretary@chisholme.org for details.

For less than a week, the daily rate is: £15 or £10 if you are a student

Concessions: If you are unable to pay or cannot pay the whole amount, then please do not hesitate to write to the secretary@chisholme.org to discuss your circumstances.

  • Accommodation is in a converted farm Steading which is a short walk from the main house. Rooms are dormitory style, sharing with up to three people. Single room accommodation is limited but in special circumstances may be available if pre-arranged with the secretary. All linen is supplied, including towels.

Please bring indoor and outdoor shoes and suitable outdoor clothing for the Scottish weather, often quite wet and windy; an alarm clock and dressing gown are also useful.

  • Food: The Chisholme Kitchen aims to provide a nutritious and well balanced diet, including as much organic and locally sourced produce as possible. It includes meat, poultry and fish, all of which is organic, free range or ethically sourced. At least 60% of the meals are vegetarian. We regret we are unable to cater for Vegans, or any special diets, unless there is a clear medical reason.  Please contact us in advance of your arrival to discuss this.
