Network PL has the pleasure of inviting you for a seminar given by Ms Małgorzata Pitura, the Network PL member, titled:
'Management of the refugee crisis in the Middle East countries. Case study of the Al-Zaatari refugee camp for Syrian refugees in Mafraq, Jordan. Reality on the spot and challenges ahead'
The seminar will aim at setting the light on the refugee protection strategies deployed by the countries in the Syrian neighbourhood in cooperation with the national governments and international actors, the UNHCR, the EU and a variety of the UN-family and Civil Society Organisations.
The participants will get an insight view on the situation in the field. By the means of a case study of the Al-Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees in Mafraq, Northern Jordan, the author will aim at outlining the main features of the camp, the opportunities it gives to the refugees as well as the flaws and challenges ahead, both for the welcoming country and the international community.
The European Union initiatives, such as the so called EU Trust Fund for the Management of the Syrian Crisis 'the Madad Fund' will be included so as to highlight and bring attention to the EU's active participation in the humanitarian help destined to Syria's neighbouring countries welcoming the refugees.
