Before starting your online application process for MSC certification, it is highly recommended that you go through the NFFF and MSC's handbook in the useful documents folder on the NFFF website.
This form consists of 5 parts;
Part 1 - Your Business
This section requires your contact details and some information about your business and current suppliers.
To check if your current supplier is MSC certified, please visit the MSC's supplier directory.
**Please note - After completing page 1 of this form, you will be re-directed to an online training form you will need to submit before continuing to pages 2-5**
**Please note- If you do not have an NFFF qulality award, you will need to complete an on-site audit and so you will not complete parts 2-5 of this form**
Part 2 - Ordering and receiving MSC Fish
To complete this section, you will need information about which MSC species you will be selling, a copy of your menu, and photographic evidence that you are purchasing MSC i.e. a copy of any invoices from your supplier.
Part 3 - Storage
To complete this section, you will need photographic evidence of how you store your MSC fish so it is easily identified and separated from non-MSC fish you may be serving.
Part 4 - Training
In addition to your online training form, all staff in your business must also undergo MSC training so they are aware of what they need to do to follow the MSC's chain of custody. You can find an online training presentation and quiz in the useful documents folder on the NFFF website. You will need to provide photographic evidence that staff training has taken place i.e. a training record signed by all staff.
Part 5 - Declaration and responding to problems
This final section is to confirm that this information you have supplied is correct.
