So that you can be contacted about information we feel will be relevant to you, your details on this form will be put on a database and made available to Penrith Players Council, and also members who are in charge of specific areas.
You will also receive regular newsletters via email.
Further Information
Penrith Players Theatre is a company limited by guarantee. As such, it has members rather than shareholders, who are each entitled to:
- Receive a copy of the company’s annual accounts;
- Attend general meetings and cast a vote;
- Elect directors by voting at the members’ meeting; an
- Vote on any significant changes to the company, its purpose, its name or how any profit is applied.
Any profit made by the Company will be retained as a contribution towards the cost of activities in future years. You will not, therefore, be entitled to receive any dividend or other distribution from the Company, including if the Company is wound up.
lf a member fails to pay the annual subscription by 30th September in any one year the Subscriptions Secretary shall email the member calling for immediate payment. lf payment is not made within two weeks the Council may terminate the membership of any such person without further notice.
Any member may resign at any time by giving written notice to the Council, but any subscription paid will not be refundable.
