INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION

Abstract submission is electronic only. The abstracts should be sent to: BAScongress.2023@medfac.mu-sofia.bg. All correspondence is sent by e-mail.
Abstract structure
The abstracts should be arranged under the following headings: Introduction, Material, and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. Abstracts have to be in English, with a line spacing of 1.5, justified with 2.5 cm margins. The authors are advised to use Microsoft Word regardless of the version, Times New Roman as a font, 12 pt throughout the text
The abstract includes:
Title – concise and informative;
Author(s)’ names and affiliations – indicate the given name(s) and family name(s) of all authors. Present the authors’ affiliation addresses below the names. Indicate all affiliations with a lower-case superscript after the author’s name and in front of the appropriate address.
Presenting author – clearly indicate who will handle the correspondence for the abstract submission and presentation of the work by highlighting their name. An e-mail should be provided. The preferred way of presentation (oral/poster) ought to be explicitly stated.
Abstract – should not exceed 250 words. It should state briefly the aim of the work, the principal results, and major conclusions. References and uncommon, or non-standard abbreviations should be avoided.
Keywords – provide up to 5 keywords. Avoid general, plural, and multiple concepts.
Introduction – state the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or summary of the results.
Material and Methods – provide a brief overview.
Results – should be clear and concise.
Discussion – should explore the significance of the results. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate.
Conclusions – these should be presented in a short section.
NB! Units – please, use the International System of Units (SI).
