Questions?
I have specific tasks such as bartending, food sales etc. that I want to work with. How can ensure that? We are working on the specific tasks, which will be added later. If you have any specific task you want to work with, just write it in the comment box.
Will I get food and beverages?
Yes, of course. We will provide you with all you need for a good working day in the park.
How old should I be to volunteer?
We have room for everyone who is older than 16. However, in our bars you can only work if you are over the age of 18.
How are the toilet facilities for a volunteer?
We have special crew-toilets, that only crew are allowed to use.
When are my shifts?
Usually, the shift will start from 10-22 but some shifts like production crew may be earlier or later. At Frederiksberg, production crew starts setting up the day before the event. More information about that will be provided in the months prior to the festival. Our crew is normally around all day. You will be assigned to a specific workspace together with the other crew members. Each workspace works it out so everyone gets time to take a break, and has a chance to say hi to family and friends.
What do you expect from me?
We expect you to be nice and treat people well. You don't need experience, but we value good-hearted, hard-working, helpful and smiling people who want to help make this event the high point of the summer in Denmark. In return, we'll help facilitate a day of fun in the sun!
Can I only become a crew-member in one city?
We would love to bring our crew all the way around the events in Denmark. Unfortunately, we do not have the financial resources to do so. That means that we cannot pay the transportation costs. However, if you could manage to get and pay for your own transportation, we would love to welcome you in all of the cities.
What do I get out of being a crew-member at Stella Polaris?
Except for a lovely day in the most beautiful park, great music, happy people and most possibly some great new friends, you'll also receive a goodie-bag with music and merchandise, a ticket to the after party in your city and a ticket to the crew-members party in September.
Can I bring a friend?
Oh yes! The more, the merrier. Stella Polaris is dependent on our volunteers, so spreading this message to your network is HIGHLY appreciated.
Can I get shifts with my friends?
Yes! People who ask for this will 99.9% of the times get the same working spot as their friends. Our shifts are not strict and leaves it to the crew to be self-organized. Just write the full names on who you want to work with in the comments section.
When should I arrive on the day of the festival?
Normally our crew meets up at 10 am for an introduction at the respective day and festival-site. The festival opens at 12.00 noon. When you sign up, you will automatically receive a practical information via e-mail when getting a bit closer to the festival.
Will I hear from you after I sign up?
You will hear from us via an e-mail a couple of weeks after you sign up, if you have signed up at least 3 months before the festival. If you've signed up closer to the festival, you should expect to receive an e-mail from us a bit faster, dependent on when you sign up. But we will get back to you as fast as possible after signing up with an information e-mail to begin with. More information will be e-mailed later dependet on the time of sign-up.
