• E-Learning - New Application

  • Anyone applying for approval of a UKATA Asbestos Awareness E-Learning course shall be a Professional Member of UKATA in the first instance.  An Asbestos Awareness E-Learning Provider shall provide the dates, times and location of their face to face training delivery at regular intervals as requested by UKATA.  UKATA reserve the right to Audit any of the notified courses.

UKATA reserves the right to request that Members provide data from their E-Learning system as evidence that robust controls are in place specifically in relation to 5.6 and 5.7 of the Standards to maintain continuous Quality Management.  Quality Management audits will be conducted by UKATA at regular intervals throughout the term of E-Learning Membership.

All E-Learning certificates shall be produced through the UKATA Certificate Generator via API Coding.

UKATA has adopted the view that E-Learning is accepted by the HSE as stipulated in Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and the supporting Approved Code of Practice.

UKATA recommends the following training program for Asbestos Awareness:

    Year 1

    Asbestos Awareness

    Face to face (Classroom)

    Year 2

    Asbestos Awareness Refresher

Face to face (Classroom) or E-Learning

    Face to face (Classroom)

    Year 6

    Asbestos Awareness Refresher

    Ad Infinitum

UKATA believes that Asbestos Awareness training should be delivered by face to face (classroom) training and that E-Learning is suited for refresher training when used in conjunction with face to face training.

UKATA further acknowledges that Members may have clients who consider an E-Learning Refresher course best suits their individual training needs.  UKATA has developed Refresher Standards for E-Learning which Professional Members may apply for separately.  A Professional Member must be registered and remain an active provider of the full Asbestos Awareness E-Learning course in order to submit a separate application for Asbestos Awareness E-Learning Refresher.

Before completing the following application form a Professional Member shall read, understand and abide by:
