Monica Maranelli is a young pianist who was born in Rovereto, Italy, in 1995.
She began studying piano at the age of 8 and at 18 she obtained her diploma with honours at the Riva del Garda Bonporti Conservatory.
From the age of 16, Monica completed her playing at the prestigious International Piano Accademy „Incontri col Maestro“ in Imola with the famous teacher Leonid Margarius.
Despite her young age she performed in famous place as a solist as well as in camera groups like the Wiener Saal of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the “Ateneo Veneto” in Venice, the “Sala Filarmonica” of Trento and Rovereto and many others.
She won the first prize at the “Barlassina Young Talents Competition” in 2013, the first prize and the „M.R. Molinari“ special prize at the “International Quinto Vicentino Mozart Competition” in 2011, the first prize at the “Baldi Piano Competition” 2016 in Bologna, the second prize at the “Tadini International Music Competition” and many others.
She also participated in numerous masterclasses of great pianists like Aldo Ciccolini, Francois Thiollier, Alexander Meinel, Vovka Ashkenazy, Rasa Biveiniene and others.
As a solist she has played with the Bacău Mihail Jora Philharmonic (Romania), the Trento Bonporti Orchestra, the Lugano Conservatory Orchestra and others.
From the 2015 she is playing with the violinist Eugenio Sacchetti.
At the moment she is attending the Master in Music Performance Class at the Lugano Conservatory (Switzerland) with the famous pianist Anna Kravtchenko.
