TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The registration form must be completed by the student and the person responsible for the payment of the fees and returned with a deposit of £350 before the application for registration can be considered. This deposit will not be refundable save in the event that the student is not accepted on the course. We can accept the deposit by cheque (payable to John Hall) or by bank transfer. Please also send 4 passport style photographs and a copy of the details page of your passport. Full payment of fees must be received not less than eight weeks prior to the beginning of the course. In the event of non payment of fees by the required date, The John Hall Venice Course reserves the right to cancel the registration and make the place available to another applicant. In the event that cancellation of registration for the course or course extensions taken by the student is received not less than 14 days prior to the date of commencement of the course 50% of the fees paid will be refunded. In the event that the notice of cancellation is received 14 days or less before commencement of the course no payment will be refunded. Fees for all courses abroad include Italian VAT. The price is based on the applicable rate at the time of printing. The right is reserved to revise the price at any time without prior notice in the event of any variation in the rates of VAT or currency exchange, the cost of accommodation, transport and other costs.
A Medical certificate will be issued before the commencement of the course and must be completed and signed by the student’s Medical Practitioner, the parent/guardian and the student and returned to us at least eight weeks before the start of the course.
Students are not insured by The John Hall Venice Course against medical expenses, loss of personal possessions and any other losses. Students from EU countries must provide a European Health Insurance Card. We strongly recommend that students arrange full insurance cover to include cancellation (due to the student being seriously ill or a close family bereavement), loss of possessions and medical expenses.
Students and those responsible for payment of their fees are jointly and severally liable for any damage caused by them to any property whether during the course of studies or at any other time.
Students are expected and required to behave in a reasonable manner at all times. The John Hall Venice Course reserves the right to remove a student from the course at its absolute discretion and without prior notification. In the event of such removal, no fees will be refundable.
The John Hall Venice Course is not responsible for the performance of any services provided by persons, firms, companies or organisations other than themselves. No liability will be accepted for any injury or other loss sustained by the student however caused and no damage or compensation will be paid. The dates, fees, itineraries and lectures may be changed without prior notice being given at the discretion of the John Hall Venice Course.
The right is also reserved to cancel any course, in which event any fees paid would be refunded. Any legal disputes/claims will be dealt with under Italian jurisdiction.
