UP Projects are seeking enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to support the delivery of The Floating Cinema this summer. This is a perfect opportunity for individuals to develop confidence and will suit those wishing to gain experience in arts events management. You'll get training and experience in a variety of tasks including front of house roles, marketing, event delivery and evaluation.
The Floating Cinema tours to eight different locations across South Yorkshire from 1 July 2017 – 13 August 2017 and will feature a programme of independent films and a new film commission by artist Harry Meadley screened on the banks of the waterways. On the Bench by Harry Meadley is a series of films, developed and created with participants living or working in the eight locations where The Floating Cinema will be moored.
We ask that volunteers support three events as a minimum commitment plus attend a training session that will familiarise volunteers with the running of the event. Expenses and travel to locations will be provided by UP Projects.
For more information about the project, please refer to the UP Projects website.
