Tynemouth Food Festival Winter Edition 2017 - Stall Hire Terms and Conditions
Applications are accepted at the absolute discretion of The Tynemouth Food Festival Steering Committee. Payment must be made at the time of application, any payment took will be refunded in full for any booking refused or not accepted.
Market Stalls are inside a hard floored marquee and stallholders will be allocated a space of 3m by 2m. Any one stallholder may book a maximum of two stalls to measure 6m x 2m. One table per stall is included. Street Food vendors must provide their own stall.
Market Stalls cost £200 to hire for the weekend. Two stalls cost £400 to hire for the weekend. Street food stalls cost £250 per pitch.
Bookings must be made for the two days of the festival and stall holders must remain in place for the duration of the festival (Sat & Sun 11.00am – 7.00pm).
All stallholders must keep within the space of their stall. No freestanding adverts or signs are allowed outside of the allocated space.
All applications & payment must be received on or before 31st August 2017, a decision as to if you are accepted to be trading will be made before 7th September. You will be notified via email as to the decision and if you are not accepted full payment will be refunded on the 8th September via PayPal.
An electricity supply is available if required at a charge of £50
Private generators can be used by street food vendors only, however, using our electricity supply is preferable.
Tynemouth Priory & Castle & English Heritage sites are non-smoking, all traders must leave the site should they wish to smoke or vape at any point.
The stallholder must not place goods beyond the boundaries of the stall, either on the ground or hanging, except by permission of the Festival Committee.
The stallholder must keep the stall and fittings, and the space below the stall clean and free from litter.
The stallholder must sell items agreed by the Tynemouth Food Festival Committee and identified on their application forms.
The stallholder selling food products must comply with the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations as amended, and the Food Safety (Temperature Control) Regulations 1995 as amended.
The stallholder must have public liability insurance cover for £2m and send in a copy of their insurance for verification purposes.
All stallholders selling food must be registered with their Local Authority and will be required to provide proof of current registration.
All stallholders selling alcohol must have a temporary events licence – TEN which will need to be obtained from North Tyneside Council at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
All vehicles must be removed off-site after set up (or by 10:00am) as directed by the Festival Manager. No stallholders will be permitted to have vehicles in the Festival area during the hours of trading unless the vehicle is part of their stall.
There is strictly no vehicle movement on the food festival site after 10:30am.
The Tynemouth Food Festival will not be liable for any loss or damage, consequential or otherwise, to any trader’s property or produce.
The Tynemouth Food Festival will endeavour to accommodate specific stall location requests where possible but refuses the right to refuse a request or change an agreed position if necessary.
The Tynemouth Food Festival reserves the right to order a stallholder to cease trading in the event either of a breach of these terms and conditions or of a gross misconduct (which shall be deemed to include any behaviour liable to disrupt lawful trade or to damage the reputation of The Tynemouth Food Festival).
