Referee Guidance and Disclaimer (Please read carefully).
Please provide details of two referees who can comment on your character, reliability, and suitability for working with children and young people.
- At least one referee must be a professional, such as a current or former employer, teacher, supervisor, manager, or someone in a position of responsibility.
- Referees must not be family members, close friends, or anyone with a personal relationship that could create a conflict of interest.
- Do not list current BTIT volunteers, staff, or trustees as referees unless they have supervised or worked with you in a professional capacity, either at BTIT or in another organisation.
- Referees should have known you for at least 6 months.
- If you are unable to provide a professional referee, please explain why in the space provided below. We may ask for an alternative referee who knows you in a community, educational, or voluntary capacity (e.g., teacher, faith/community leader, mentor, medical professional).
We will contact your referees as part of our safeguarding and recruitment process. By submitting their details, you confirm that you have obtained their permission for us to contact them.
