You agree that your child will not be absent without giving notice to the session leader. You agree that if your child is absent for three consecutive sessions and you have not informed the company as to the reason, we may assume your child no longer wishes to attend that specific workshop and your child's place will be automatically given to someone else if there is a waiting list. Registration takes place within your workshop, so you agree that your child will arrive promptly at the time their workshop is due to start.
You agree to ensure that Generate Theatre Arts has your up to date email address and mobile phone number. Generate Theatre Arts will provide you with information - sometimes at short notice - should a rehearsal time change or should there be any alterations with workshops etc. The company email address is email@example.com. You agree to pay close attention to the information provided in the termly newsletter sent to families via email. You agree to make sure you read the details within and ask any questions should anything be unclear.
You agree that when rehearsals commence for any production, members are required to give full commitment to the rehearsal schedule. You agree to notify your child's session leader immediately of any dates they will be unable to attend. You agree that if you are absent from a rehearsal without proper notification, your part may be forfeited.
You agree that school uniform or official Generate Kit is acceptable for term-time after school workshops. As some of our workshops involve a lot of moving around, you agree that girls are to wear shorts or leggings/trousers/joggers either under or instead of skirts.
Classrooms + Venues:
Every time we hire a venue we need to do our very best to look after it, equally we seek to preserve the quality of each space we occupy in our host schools. Therefore you agree that any litter is placed in the rubbish bins provided. You agree that we do not allow food in sessions including sweets and the only drink permitted is water. You agree that there is absolutely no chewing gum allowed in workshops and that our theatres also have a strict No Smoking policy in force, including e-cigarettes. Please help us to keep our theatres and our classrooms a pleasant environment for our members and staff in which to work.
Drop Off + Pick Up:
You agree that it is your responsibility to drop off and collect young children at the start and end of each session, you also agree that Generate Theatre Arts is not responsible for your child outside of workshops.
Generate Theatre Arts is an all-inclusive theatre company and we welcome children and young people regardless of ability, disability, status or culture. Children and Young People who have a Special Educational Need will be integrated into workshops according to their age group. We will enter into a discussion with parents/carers to ensure that we can meet the needs of the prospective member. We advise that you contact the office to discuss this with the team.
The participation rate (payable by cheque, cash or online) is £130 per child (or £234 if you are sending two children to our sessions). You agree that all fees will be paid on receipt of the invoice sent to your email address after the induction event. You agree that there can be no reduction in subscriptions for members who are absent from sessions (or if a child is sent home from a session by a member of our team). You agree that no refunds are available at any time, including in the event of standing orders failing to be stopped upon a member leaving the company, as all such receipts shall be treated as donations to the company.
Video + Photography:
You agree that Generate may take photos and videos of workshops and events for general publicity and press purposes, which may mean your child appears on our social media pages and on our website as well as third-party advertising (newspapers, magazines, websites etc.). By signing your child up with us, you are consenting to the recording of this media. If you have a concern regarding this, please speak to us at the office so that we can make the appropriate arrangements. You agree that during performances and events we do not permit unofficial (i.e. “non-Generate”) photos and videos to be taken by parents.
Leaving The Process:
You are agree to give the company 30 days written notice if your child wishes to drop out of the process for any reason. This is because every session is a crucial rehearsal for the children's next production, and when a child drops out of the process it has a profoundly negative effect on the work the remaining children are doing. Families need to give serious thought to the effect their child dropping out has on the rest of their class.
