About the Rome - Additional Regional Fund
• As part of a new series of region specific funds, the Global Engagement Office is pleased to announce the 2017/18 Rome Regional Partnership Fund Call. This fund aims to support UCL academics collaborating with colleagues based at institutions in Rome, or for UCL academics collaborating on research or teaching focussing on the region.
• The aim of the Rome Regional Partnership Fund is to facilitate new partnerships or to further develop existing links. This new funding programme is led by Dr Florian Mussgnug, School of European Languages, Culture and Society and supported by the Pro-Vice-Provost (Europe), Dr Uta Staiger and the Global Engagement Office (GEO). Up to £3,500 is available for each project/initiative, although joint bids from two or more academics working in different departments may receive up to £5,000.
• Projects within the Call should incorporate at least one public, private or student-focussed event, ideally to take place in Rome between March – June 2018.
• We particularly welcome proposals that showcase the range and diversity of research and research-led teaching at UCL, underpin and develop existing collaborations with academic and non-academic partners in central Italy, and provide new visions for UCL's continued presence in continental Europe, through outward-facing, collaborative, internationally networked, critical and creative initiatives.
Deadline for applications: Noon on Monday, 11th December 2017.
For further information or to express interest in advance of the deadline, please email Conor Rickford, Senior Partnership Manager (Europe) on firstname.lastname@example.org
