Rules for the Members of Lancaster University Trampolining Club
As a member of the Trampolining Club, I will follow the following rules:
· Follow all orders given by members of the executive committee and the coach(es).
· Safely stop any activity if you hear any member shout “STOP”.
· Only one person on the trampoline at a time, unless with a coach.
· Never attempt a move you have not been cleared to practice without first gaining permission from a coach. You cannot gain permission from an exec member.
· No going under the trampoline at any time.
· Make sure you have completely warmed up, both on the floor and on the trampoline, before you start training. A warm-up will usually be run by an exec member, but it is your responsibility to make sure you have warmed up.
· When not bouncing, make sure you stand and ‘spot’ at the side of the trampoline.
· Only bounce when there is at least one spotter at the side of the trampoline.
· No running or messing around on the crash mats by the sides of the trampoline during a training session or during set up / set down.
· Always wear suitable clothing and remove all piercings (see below for details).
· Inform coach(es) and exec members of any injuries.
· As the Student Union’s policy states, it is at your own risk if you get on the trampoline drunk or hungover and the exec and coach(es) take no responsibility for any injuries you may cause yourself. You may be asked to stop bouncing if you are unsafe.
· All members need to make sure they follow the rules set by the exec and/or coach(es) whilst on a trip.
Clothing Guidance for Trampolining Sessions
· No zips or buttons on clothing worn on the trampolines.
· Socks must be worn when on the trampoline.
· Shoes must be worn when warming up on the floor. Barefoot is acceptable.
· No jewellery to be worn, either on the trampolines or when warming up (this includes all piercings, necklaces and watches). If this is a problem, you must inform a coach.
· Sensible sportswear should be worn.
· Long hair must be tied up.
· Hoodies should not be worn when on the trampoline, especially when somersaulting.
