Pre-requisites to attend a Train the Coach (ToC) session:

Have been a Letterland teacher for 1-2 years (ideally).
Have attended at least two Letterland Training Sessions (Kinderarten as a minimum and ideally another grade level).

Letterland In-district Coaches must:

Attend further training in the future, if required.
Agree to adhere with fidelity to the Letterland program.
Support teachers providing locally based instruction.
Model good practice within their school /district providing side by side support.
Help teachers as required with lesson planning, pacing, data collection/analysis and differentiation.
Conduct fidelity checks / walkthroughs to ensure teachers are delivering Letterland to fidelity.
Maintain communication with Letterland’s US training team to ensure knowledge is the most current available.
Additional grade levels may be added as the coach’s own professional development changes.
Annually attend In-District Coaches’ meetings at district’s expense to receive updates (non-attendance for 2 years may void the In-District agreement with Letterland.)

Pre-requisites to attend a Train the Trainer (ToT) session:

Have attended a Letterland Train the Coach (ToC) session.

Before becoming an authorized Letterland In-district Trainers, participants will need to:

Have attended a Train the Trainer (ToT) Session.
Have co-trained with a senior trainer and been mentored.

Letterland In-district Trainers must:

Agree to adhere to training fidelity without altering training content and understand that occasional monitoring visits may occur.
Agree to submit the Letterland pre-event training form before a session.
Agree to submit the Letterland session feedback from after a session.
Annually attend Training meetings to receive updates (non-attendance for 2 years may void the Training agreement with Letterland.)
