To volunteer at Manjushri Centre we will need you to bring one of the following documents to prove you have the right to perform volunteer work in the UK. This document must not be a photocopy.
If you don't have either of these you can check here what other documents we can accept.
If you are not a UK or European Passport holder you will have a limit to the days you can volunteer or undertake paid work while in the UK. The maximum days you can do paid or unpaid work on a tourist visa in the UK is 30 actual work days.
However in all instances volunteer work should not be your main reason for coming to the UK. For example, if your main reason for coming to the UK is to visit friends or attend a festival and during your travel you also undertake paid work or volunteer, this is acceptable. If however volunteering/working is your only reason for coming to the UK then this is not acceptable to the UK Border Force. Please check carefully the terms of your visa.
Area of preference
Please find a short description of the areas of work at Manjushri. It may not be possible to work in your desired area during your visit but it will be taken into account when drawing up working schedules. No previous experience is necessary as training will be given for each area.
