    Do you want to participate in the Outreach for Engineers program at this years OMAE? Fill out the details below. You will receive confirmation from ASME staff that your application has been received. If you do not receive a confirmation within 72 hours, please email rojasd@asme.org

    o   Senior Undergraduate Students enrolled in Engineering or Science Curricula.

    o   Graduate Students (both Masters and Doctoral levels) with specialization in fields such as ocean and/or offshore engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, petroleum engineering, and aerospace engineering.

    o   Early professionals who graduated with the related engineering or science qualifications and have gained experience in other industrial and research environments but are interested in exploring the exciting career opportunities in the ocean, offshore and arctic engineering fields.  Related fields for an early engineering professional might include experience in the automotive and aerospace sectors, building construction, manufacturing, ship building, etc.  Many of the engineering skills learned in related fields can be applied to ocean, offshore and arctic engineering.

    o   A balance in the number of graduate students, undergraduate students and early professionals is considered essential for the success of the program.  Applications may be turned down in order to achieve this balance.

  • Standard scholarship amount includes:

    OMAE 2025 Conference Registration – STUDENT RATE or EQUIVALENT*

    A limited amount of funding is available for travel and accommodations to select students.

    Note: All documents must be submitted on a Word, or PDF format

    Note: Individual scholarship awards may vary.

    Note: Information on scholarship applications will be shared with our sponsors.  Sponsors to be determined.

    * = ASME will provide the amount of a student registration towards a higher level of registration should the individual need to have a full conference registration in order to ensure paper publication. The full conference registration in this case is only necessary if they are the only individual attending and presenting on their paper.

    1. Please provide a copy of your resume or CV highlighting academic and professional background.

     

    2. All scholarship applicants must provide a statement on why you are interested in this opportunity of attending the OMAE 2025 Outreach to Engineers Specialty Forum (Max. 1 page)

     

    3. All scholarship applicants must provide a statement regarding the level of financial assistance you require. Provide a rough estimate of how much it would require for you to travel and attend OMAE (Travel, Hotel, Registration). This is to allow us an idea of the level of financial assistance each attendee needs in order to attend the conference.

     

    4. All applicants must provide ONE or more letters of reference by referees familiar with your academic background.

     

    5. Please state how you learned of the Outreach to Engineers program.
