Is this flight related to North Weald Flight Training Ltd?All training, QCC and other flights specifically operated by NWFT are not permitted. Other arrivals from North Weald are. We cannot afford the Noise Abatement and other issues which have been caused by NWFT in the recent past.

TRAINING We welcome training flights from other airfields and recognise the need for students to be able to train at unfamilar aerodromes. We are content for each arrival and landing fee to include a maximum of two training circuits. Specific arrangements must be made and agreed via email in order to exceed this. Please send a message to airfield@oldbuck.com to do so. QCC students are also very welcome. Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance of the intention to send a QCC to us; not least the CAA in the past have taken issue with a confirmatory signature issued by a member of staff here other than the CAA Accountable Aerodrome Manager, who is also the Authorised Person.

NOTAM's

In the past it was extremely obvious that the commander of the aircraft you've booked in hadn't read the NOTAM's or had simply decided to ignore their contents. Please ensure familiarity and comply with them in future. Any future such issues will lead to aircraft no longer being permitted to operate here.

CHRISTMAS 2021

Between the 24th December and 3rd January very few services will be available:

Fuel will be by prior arrangement and on a minumum of 48 hours notice. Please email airfeild@oldbuck.com

Jimmy's Cafe will not be open nor will Jimmy's 8-Late. In the latter instance it is impossible to maintain our COVID-19 precautions without regular cleaning every two hours. Therefore there will be virtually no facilities available to visitors. Landing Fees will still be due and you'll find QR codes and/or links to do so near the Control Sign.

We will be back to normal in line with the AIP on the 5th and Jimmy's Cafe first day back will be the 7th.

In the interim we wish everyone as Happy a Christmas as possible, and hopefully a much better new year.
