  • Get Involved and Join the EMAS 2019 Congress Team

  • Introduction

    This prestigious international medical and scientific congress brings together experts on menopause and andropause from around the world. It will provide provide an essential opportunity to those interested in this field including medical students and those involved in patient groups to hear some of the latest developments in menopause and andropause research and care.

  • Whether you are interested in knowing more about managing midlife health-related issues, sharing experiences and being inspired by people from different backgrounds, or simply enjoy lending a helping hand, the success of EMAS 2019 depends heavily on you.

  • EMAS 2019 will be held on 15-17 May 2019 at the Berlin ExpoCenter City and is expected to bring together some 850 participants from around the world. This year we are inviting approximately 20 volunteers to participate and gain international experience working with the EMAS Congress Team in Berlin, from 14th to 17th May 2019.

    Attendance for the briefing on Tuesday, 14th May 16:00 (time TBC) is mandatory.

  • The tasks include helping with:
     
    1. Congress Material
    2. Poster Helpdesk
    3. Entrance Control
    4. Speaker Preview Room
    5. Helping to set-up and dismantle the signage
    6. General assistance to participants 

  • In return for helping out:

    • T-shirt will be provided on each volunteer day.
    • Some tasks will require training and support which is provided.

  • Volunteers must be aged 18 or over.

  • Availability during the Conference

    Volunteers are needed from Tuesday, 14th May to Friday, 17th May but most volunteers are needed from Wednesday, 15th May to Friday, 17th May.

    Attendance for the briefing on Tuesday, 14th May at 16:00 (time TBC) is mandatory.

  • Some morning shifts require you to be present from 07:00, and some afternoon shifts last until 20:00. Most positions include four shifts.
