Ministry of Musics has access to Soundcloud's Content Management System called Deck. Through this management system, we're able to whitelist Soundcloud profiles of your artists and label(s). We can also help setup monetization for your profile that will ensure you are able to monetize your tracks.
It is important to whitelist your profiles prior to monetization, and even if you are not interested in monetizing we encourage you to whitelist ALL profiles associated to your brand. By whitelisting you will enable your artists to upload material to their own Soundcloud rather than receiving a copyright notice that removes the material from their page. Below you will find information regarding Soundcloud's Whitelisting, Monetization, and Copyright Detection system.
Some quick facts about this service:
- No sign up fees and you earn 80% of all royalties
- Users hear ads while playing your music on mobile and more
- Whitelisting means no copyright issues preventing you from uploading
- When do you accumulate royalties. Basically, a "listen" must meet the following criteria to generate a royalty:
- Profile & track must be set up for monetization
- Listen must be longer than 30 seconds
- Listen must occur in a monetize-able territory
- Listen must occur via Web or Mobile (as Listens that occur via an embedded app where no ads are played won't be monetized).
