EHCAP has been awarded the Mindful Emotion Coaching budget for schools in West Somerset from 1st February 2019. This follows on from EHCAP's role in leading The Somerset Emotion Coaching Project which has been funded by Public Health, Somerset County Council since January 2015.
On 8th February from 1.30pm to 4pm in Dunster Surgery there will be an initial mapping meeting where Dr Sarah Temple will share EHCAP's plans for the year and you will have the chance to make suggestions and /or sign up for available options. At this stage it is possible to change the proposed funding allocation (see below for details) and so this is an important meeting to attend if you possibly can.
The framework is that there are three hubs approximately divided as below:
1.Exmoor Federation – Dunster, Timberscombe, Cutcolme, Exford, Porlock plus the schools in Dulverton (which are not part of the federation but geographically linked)
2.Minehead- West Somerset College, Minehead Middle, Minehead First, St Michaels and all Early Years Nurseries
3.Danesfield, Williton, Old Cleeve, St Peters, Knights Templar
It is anticipated that there will be one lead school in each hub and representation by a member of the Senior Leadership Team of that School actively involved with planning as well as providing training rooms and hospitality. The exception to this is Group One where I hope we will have a lead from Dulverton as well as Louise Collins from Dunster First.
