This TOUR OF FATIMA, SPAIN AND LOURDES WITH FATHER DIAZ is a special departure pilgrimage organized on request exclusively for the following dates:

Return Date: 4th April, 2019 from Pau Pyrenees Airport.

Price and Currency information
The final price per person in double room occupancy is US $2,900.00.
A single supplement of US $700.00 will apply to those participants choosing to stay in a single room during their stay on this pilgrimage.
Final price for this tour is calculated on the basis of a minimum number of 20 participants.
Should the number fall below 20 participants, Mark and John Travel S.L. reserves the right to cancel the tour before February 16th,2019 with no eventual compensations. Only in this eventuality, full refund of amounts pre-paid at this point will apply for all those registered participants (less $50 administration processing fee per person). Price is based on currency mid-market rates as of January 10th 2019. Should any devaluation or revaluation may occur, Mark & John Travel S.L. reserves the right to alter prices at any time prior to departure and without prior notice if circumstances so warrant.

Registration, Deposit and Payment Schedule
Registration and Deposits are always required in order to guarantee all services included in your tour through our suppliers and partners accordingly. An initial deposit OF US$ 900 per participant is due at the time of booking with a signed booking application for the tour of reference.
A signed registration/application is required for all bookings. Signed applications must be filled on-line through our registration form.
Deposit must be received/cleared within 7 days of booking or reservation will not be confirmed.
Full payment is due 45 days prior to the departure date.
For bookings made within 45 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
A 50$ non-refundable processing administration fee will be charged at the time of booking.
Cancellations and Refunds
Once a deposit or partial/full payment has been made, cancellations will only be accepted in writing. Cancellation terms will be applied based on the date that the written cancellation is received. In addition to a $50.00 per person administration fee, the following charges apply off the total trip cost:
- More than 45 days prior to departure: full refund applies*
- 45 - 30 days prior to departure 25 %
- 29 - 5 days prior to departure 50 %
- 4 days prior to departure or less, no refund.
* This is a special departure. Once flight tickets are issued (due date for ticketing is Feb 16th 2019), the portion for the ticket value is non-refundable.
Requests for a refund must be always in writing (mail or e-mail). Phone calls cannot be used as a form of cancellation. Refunds will be processed and issued within 30 days of receipt of written notice. Credit card refunds may take a few days before being reflected on your credit card company’s statement and that end is completely out of Mark & John Travel’s control. Name changes or substitutions are not permitted. No refund or cancellation fees will be waived due to death or sickness.
Forms of Payment
All deposits and payments will be processed through a secured and verified payment platform. You will receive an e-mail with all necessary invoices for deposits, partial or full payments. Let your agent at Mark & John Travel know if you need any assistance with this matter. In case of computer or human billing error, we reserve the right to re-invoice participants with corrected billing.

Passports, Visas & Documents
A valid US passport is required for US citizens who do not require a Visa to enter Portugal, Spain or France, the countries included in this special departure pilgrimage (should you have a different nationality, please check with your consulate for whether a visa is required to travel to the aforementioned countries). Mark & John Travel S.L., owner, agent or our employees cannot be held liable for clients not having proper passports, visa or other travel documents. Cancellations due to lack of appropriate documents will usually incur in further penalties. Passports must be valid at least 6 months after return date (4th April, 2019). If you do not have a valid passport, contact your closest passport office. Passport Cards are not valid documents for International Air Travel. Attempting to use this instead of a Passport Book will result in a denial of boarding by the airlines and/or entry by the legal authorities.
Our office will send to your attention by e-mail all your final documents once payment in full has been received/cleared. Any changes will be communicated accordingly before departure. Please review your final documents carefully as it is your responsibility to check itinerary dates, flight information, spelling of your name, matches the one for this special departure to insure their validity. Should your final documents have any errors or typos, it is the passenger’s responsibility to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org immediately.
We strongly recommend that you purchase a travel insurance plan for this pilgrimage tour, additional cancellation coverage is also highly suggested. You may purchase the policy of your choice or enquire about our operator’s Travel Insurance policies when registering/applying. Once purchased, the premium is non-refundable. Travel Insurance is not available for purchase if you are booking within 72 hours of departure. Mark & John Travel will assume no responsibility for, and cannot be held liable for, any Wrongful, Negligent or Unauthorized Acts or Omissions of any travel agent or travel agency other than that of Mark & John Travel itself, and its own employees.
Airline Ticketing Regulations and Baggage Information
Passenger Names and TSA Secure Flight Passenger Data (SFPD) is required for ticketing.
Please note: In order to process your name, we must have complete Secure Flight Passenger Data (SFPD) for each passenger.
The Transportation Security Agency’s (TSA) Secure Flight Program requires that Air France / Delta / KLM collect the following additional information from passengers when making a reservation to fly within, into or out of the United States and reservations for point-to-point international flights operated by U.S.-based airlines:
- Full Name (required), as it appears on government-issued I.D. approved for use when traveling
- Date of Birth (required)
- Gender (required)
- Redress number (optional)
Your reservation may be cancelled if the reservation does not include the required Secure Flight Passenger Data (full name, date of birth, and gender) at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled departure. This cancellation policy applies to all Delta / Air France / KLM tickets, including tickets for our codeshare partners’ flights.

Air transportation is in economy class on IATA - approved carriers. For this special departure, Delta Airlines and/or its affiliated partners are the selected carriers. Ticketing is due on February 16th 2019 in all cases. Fares are based on levels in effect at the time booking and prices and schedules are subject to change without notice. All are subject to the airline’s terms of carriage. Mark & John Travel S.L. is not responsible for any cancellations, loss, delays, injury, illness, or expenses incurred due to actions made by the airlines. Any claims related to airline service complaints and compensation should be addressed directly to the specific carrier.
Delta Airlines and/or its partners general baggage policy is as follows:
Each tour participant is permitted to bring one checked suitcase, one small carry on bag (8" x 14" x 22"), and one personal item (i.e. purse, laptop case). Checked bag must not weigh over 50 lbs (23 kg) and maximum dimensions of 62 in (158 cm) calculated by adding the length + the width + the height of the bag. Please be advised that the airline may very likely charge surcharges for any extra weight at their discretion.

Airport Taxes, Fees & Fuel
Airport taxes are included in your tour package. Airport taxes are based on departure city and government fees (airport taxes include Federal Inspection Fees for the U.S. Customs and Immigration; International Air Transportation Tax; Agricultural tax; security fees, and other airport related taxes).
Seats will be assigned randomly for all group passengers. Please let us know if you would like to secure a specific seat or sit with a companion and even though we can not guarantee, we will try our best to accommodate you. If you must have a specific seat, we recommend you to be at the airport at least three hours prior to departure and arrange the seat assignment with your airline's gate agent. Bulkhead and exit row seating can never be requested prior to the day of departure. We can never guarantee specific seats, and they are assigned at the discretion of the airline, depending on their availability and subject to aircraft/seat map changes.
Our selected Hotel accommodations are based on twin-bedded or double rooms indistinctively. Should you wish to request a specific type, let us know at the time of booking and we will try to accommodate you (always depending on hotel discretion and/or availability). Our selected accommodations for this special departure are based on first class hotels. Mark & John Travel reserves the right to use similar category hotels without prior notice. For triple room request, please contact us at time of booking as not all hotels will provide such options within the same quality room type.
Single rooms are usually less common than twin/double ones, Mark & John Travel will book them “On-Request” basis only and a supplement price will be charged as stated on the price offer. Single rooms may eventually be smaller than twin/double. We would always try to accommodate our clients in “double-rooms-for-single-use”, but it will be subject to hotel’s discretion and availability.
We try to accommodate all special meal requests, and although we cannot guarantee each case, we are very observant of specific dietary restrictions (gluten or lactose free products, vegetarian options, etc.). Should you need any specifics in this regard, please let us know in advance or state so on the application/registration form so we can inform all our suppliers and tour escort before arrival.
Mark and John Travel S.L. acts only as agent in all matters connected with the making and securing of reservations for transportation, accommodations, tours and/or other arrangements for the participants and for various disclosed principals and contractors in the form of airlines, tour wholesalers, coach services, and owners or contractors providing accommodations, transportation and/or other services, hereinafter referred to as “suppliers”. Mark and John Travel S.L. does not own, manage, control or operate any transportation vehicle, hotel, restaurant, insurance company, tour or sightseeing company or any other service that would fit into the classification of “supplier”. As an agent, all receipts, contracts and tickets issued by Mark and John Travel S.L. and/or other “supplier” are subject to any and all related tariffs as well as the terms and conditions specified by each “supplier”. The acceptance of such coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets shall be deemed to be consent to the foregoing conditions and also to the further condition that neither Mark and John Travel S.L. nor any of its representatives shall be or become liable or responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property or otherwise in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services resulting directly or indirectly from any acts of God, including but not limited to dangers incident to the sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of governments or other authorities, de jure or de facto, wars whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, theft, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, defaults, delays or cancellations or changes in itinerary, routing or schedules from any cause beyond the control of Mark and John Travel S.L. or from any loss or damage resulting from insufficient improperly issued passports, visas or documents and neither Mark and John Travel S.L. nor any of its representatives shall be liable or responsible for any additional or liability sustained or incurred as a result of the foregoing causes. Mark and John Travel S.L. is not responsible nor liable for defaults of “supplier” or any other person, company or incorporation not directly under its control. In the case if air, ship, rail, automobile, or other forms of transportation, the passenger contract in use by the provider of such transportation, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the passenger and such airline, ship line, railroad, car rental or other company.
Special Medical Conditions and Special Assistance
You must report any condition or disability requiring special attention to us at the time of registration for this special departure pilgrimage. We make every effort to accommodate disabled passengers by reserving for them wheelchair assistance at airports and specific rooms for disabled guests where available, however, we cannot guarantee and are not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. Should you need a wheelchair during this pilgrimage, please make sure to request it at the time of registration/booking and we will do our best to have it at your disposal for the duration of the trip. The Americans with Disabilities Act is not applicable in Portugal, Spain or France and facilities for disabled individuals are sometimes limited. Most transportation services, including the touring motor coaches, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps or lifts. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to any tour participant for walking, dining, while in their room, on flight, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion(s) must accompany passengers who need special assistance. It is the passenger/traveler’s responsibility to arrange for such assistance prior to making their reservations. Motorized scooters are unsuitable and impossible to accommodate. Mark and John Travel is not responsible for any medical condition that occurs prior, during or after the tour. Airlines are not always able to guarantee or provide assistance for disabled passengers including special seating. Pregnancy, Breast-Feeding, and Pregnant women considering international should be advised to evaluate the potential problems associated with international as well as the quality of medical care available at the destination and during transit. A pregnant woman is advised to with at least one companion; during her pregnancy, her level of comfort may be adversely affected by traveling.
Physicality of this Tour
Please note that all pilgrimages require a certain level of physical fitness and a lot of walking, sometimes up/or down the hills and at times very rough terrain. You may certainly stay behind for certain parts of the journey; however, it is recommended that you are able to walk up to 2-3 miles with no discomfort. Although we rarely walk on dirt paths, it is though very common to find uneven or cobblestone streets where curbs and sidewalks may not be fully adapted for people with any disability or wheelchair access.
Tour Cancellation By Operator
If this special departure may be cancelled due to lack of participation (minimum 20 participants) by Mark & John Travel S.L., a full refund will be issued. Mark & John Travel S.L. is not responsible and does not assume responsibility for any additional costs or any fees relating to the cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not made through Mark & John Travel S.L. or pertaining to this special departure tour. Cancellations due to state advisories and/or state warnings, Acts of War, War, Terrorism, Acts of God, Natural Disaster or any other circumstance outside the control Mark & John Travel S.L., are not the fault of Mark & John Travel S.L. Great effort will be made to accommodate passengers or to revise itinerary, however, cancellation for any of these reasons will not be eligible for refund.
The itinerary should be considered as an indication, rather than a contract of places to be visited and though we try by all means to follow accordingly, occasionally local religious holidays, national bank days, weather, traffic conditions and/or other events may require eventual changes in the sequence of visits or the missing of certain visits.
