Infection Prevention Instruction – Use of Mops
To ensure proper infection prevention and hygiene standards, the following rules apply to the use of cleaning mops within our facility:
A mop may only be used once.
Once a mop has been used wet on a floor, it must not be reused.
Re-dipping a used mop is strictly prohibited.
A used wet mop must never be dipped back into the bucket, as this can cause the spread of bacteria and microorganisms.
A new, clean mop must be used for each area.
After use, the mop must be placed directly into the designated laundry or waste container, according to hygiene procedures.
Purpose of this rule
These measures are mandatory to prevent cross-contamination and are part of our infection prevention and quality protocols.
Failure to comply with this instruction will be considered a violation of the agreed hygiene requirements.
