  • Introduction

    The EORNA 2019 Congress will be held in The Netherlands in the beautiful city of The Hague from 16-19 May 2019. It will be a great moment bringing together all committed nurses, leaders and perioperative professionals. The scientific programme will offer delegates a wide range of innovative and interesting topics such as scientific research, perioperative/clinical practice, education, leadership/management, patient safety, healthy workplaces, with oral presentations, poster sessions and workshops.

  • What is the Congress of the European Operating Room Nurses Association (EORNA 2017, Rhodes, Greece)?

  • Whether you are interested in knowing more about perioperative patient care, sharing experiences and being inspired by people from different backgrounds, or simply enjoy lending a helping hand, the success of EORNA 2019 depends heavily on you.

  • EORNA 2019 will be held on 16-19 May 2019 at the World Forum and is expected to bring together some 1,000 participants from around the world. This year, we are inviting approximately 30 volunteers to participate and gain international experience working with the EORNA Congress Team in The Hague.

    Attendance for the briefing on Thursday, 16 May 13:00 (time TBC) is mandatory.

  • The tasks include helping with:

    1. Congress Material/Cloakroom
    2. Entrance/Badge Control 
    3. Delegate Orientation
    4. Helping to set-up the Poster Exhibition
    5. Helping to set-up and dismantle the signage
    6. General assistance to participants

  • In return for helping out:

    • You will be able to access the Congress free of charge - EORNA 2019 Congress programme: https://eorna-congress.eu/programme/scientific-programme/
    • T-shirt will be provided on each volunteer day.
    • Some tasks will require training and support which is provided.

    *Please note that travel or hotel cost will not be covered.

  • Volunteers must be aged 18 or over.

  • Availability during the Conference

    Volunteers are needed from Thursday, 16 May to Sunday, 19 May.

    Attendance for the briefing on Thursday, 16 May at 13:00 (time TBC) is mandatory.

  • Some morning shifts require you to be present from 07:00, and some afternoon shifts last until 19:00 (two afternoon shifts last until 21:00). Most positions include two shifts per day.
