Dear Parade Applicant:
The Clonmel St. Patrick’s Day Parade start’s at 3.00pm sharp on Sunday March 17th, 2019.
Once again, the gathering area for participants for the parade is Cantwell St (Upper Irishtown). The parade starts at the junction of Cantwell St and proceeds east on to Irishtown, under the Westgate into O’Connell Street, turning North onto Gladstone Street, then east again into Market Street, and then travelling south on Emmet Street ending at the Town Hall on Parnell Street. All participants are asked to assemble at Cantwell St. one hour prior to the start of the parade, at 2pm.
Please note direction from An Garda Síochána that
groups walking or marching in the parade may only perform at reviewing stand for a maximum of one and a half minutes (90 seconds). This is important is minimising disruption to the flow of the parade.
The parade MAY NOT be used for political demonstrations.
To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and spectators, the Parade Committee has developed a set of parade safety policies. A copy of these policies is enclosed and should be reviewed prior to submission of the parade registration form. Your submission of the parade registration form indicates that all those associated with your parade entry have agreed to adhere to these parade safety policies.
As a courtesy to other participants, entries with animals (horses, dogs, etc.) must provide for clean up along the parade route. Entries without a designated clean up person will not be allowed to enter the line-up.
To participate in the parade, please complete the enclosed registration form and return it to County Tipperary Chamber. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The Parade Committee reserves the right to approve all entries.
Confirmation of your participation and detailed instructions will be sent prior to the parade to the address indicated on your registration form.
