You should have access to the latest Mindful Emotion Coaching and ACE Awareness (MACE) power-points and Facilitator Manual within the Wellness Coaches section of our Groupsite.
After each learning session I need you to come back to this form and let me know what you have been doing and how you feel. This is because we continuously update our training programme as we receive feedback.

All staff working in the Essex Child and Wellbeing Service will attend two half day Mindful Emotion Coaching and ACE (Adverse Childhood Experience) awareness workshops with a link to online support between the workshops. Facilitators and supervisors will engage with additional training the details of which are set out below.
The programme started rolling out on 26th February and is based on Mindful Emotion Coaching and ACE (Adverse Childhood Experience) awareness.
You can use this form to book into workshops and submit ideas.
The programme will develop the following skills and capabilities in staff such that the fundamental needs of children, young people and families are addressed:
understand the neuroscience of the effects of adversity (including abuse and neglect) in childhood on long term physical and mental health outcomes and integrate this understanding into safeguarding children, young people, adults and older people
build skills and capabilities in managing the effects of early adversity through Dan Siegel's Hand Model and John Gottman's Emotion Coaching
demonstrating the principles of person centred care
awareness of the importance of their personal physical and mental wellbeing and incorporating compassionate self-care into their personal and professional life.
