Group Leader Agreement

Please read the Group Leader Information Site which details the responsibilities of a group leader, and gives further information about the school and its procedures.

Group Leader Checklist

All group members are briefed about their responsibilities during the visit, fully understand their role within the group and are equipped to deal with emergencies.
Accompanying staff have the knowledge and skills to ensure the safety of the participants.
The group leader has a list of young peoples' names and their accommodation.
Parental and Student Consent forms have been completed.
Any letters of parental consent that might be required by UK Visas & Immigration have been obtained.
Emergency numbers and procedures have been noted.
There are sufficient funds to deal with emergencies and unexpected expenses.
Group members understand and agree to a code of conduct.
Group members are aware of road safety (e.g. which side of the road cars travel).
Arrangements have been made to ensure that participants do not carry large sums of money with them.
Students have been provided a link to the student information site (https://students.languagesunited.com)
Students have been reminded of the things they should bring, including a refillable water bottle (see https://students.languagesunited.com/welfare/kit-list)

I confirm that I have read and understood the Group Leaders Information site and that I will carry out my duties and responsibilities in accordance with the guidelines and procedures.
I confirm that I have good, working knowledge of the English Language.
I agree to inform Languages United immediately if at any point I become unable to meet one or more of my responsibilities as a group leader.
I understand that I should have the overall responsibility for the supervision and conduct of the group and to the health and safety of the group.
I agree to inform Languages United of any problems medical, behavioural or otherwise, of the participants.
I understand it is my duty to exchange information with the participants' parents, including details of medical conditions and emergency contact numbers.
I have checked that adequate insurance arrangements are in place and follow the recommended safe supervision on every visit and/or activity.
I agree that I am responsible for the groups at all times with the help of the supervisors during activities and excursions.
I will take overall responsibility in an emergency and carry out the stipulated procedures provided by Languages United.
I confirm that I have read and understood the requirements and agree to carry them out as effectively as possible and to the best of my ability.
