Mindful Emotion Coaching and ACE (Adverse Childhood Experience) Awareness
EHCAP is working with Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service cascading a programme of workshops and providing access to online materials. Free online resources are available at www.mindfulemotioncoaching.co.uk
Fourteen staff are currently being trained as Facilitators in Mindful Emotion Coaching and ACE awareness. A further 5 staff are being supported to merge Mindful Emotion Coaching and ACE (MACE) awareness into the restorative supervision that they are providing.
The first pair of training workshops begins on 4 th and 24 th April. Four of the Facilitators in training will be presenting to Virgincare and Barnardos colleagues with Dr Sarah Temple supporting. These initial workshops are very much training workshops- the facilitators are becoming familiar with the materials and developing their own skills and capabilities in using Dan Siegel's Hand Model and John Gottman's Emotion Coaching. It is anticipated that the Facilitators and Supervisors will complete their MACE training in October of this year.

- build skills and capabilities in managing the effects of early adversity through Dan Siegel's Hand Model and John Gottman's Emotion Coaching
- demonstrating the principles of person centred care
- awareness of the importance of personal physical and mental wellbeing and incorporating compassionate self-care into their personal and professional life.
