Dear KCC Junior and Parent(s)/Guardian(s).
Our outdoor training sessions will take place this year from Sunday 28 April until Sunday 14 July. Sessions will start at 09:15 and finish at 11:00. Please note that should any session be cancelled due to inclement weather, we are unable to refund a portion of the membership fee. Please check our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram sites on the day for up to date information of any cancellations.
Junior Membership for 2019 is just £60 and this will include two social memberships for the parents or guardians. Social membership entitles you to use the members bar facility which will be available on most junior match evenings. This also means you are welcome to come along to any of our senior matches or social events and use the facilities. This still represents exceptional value considering this includes all 12 outdoor coaching sessions and all matches. We would therefore ask you to consider a voluntary donation towards the cost of cricket balls if you can. This will help with our ever-increasing costs.
Please ‘Like’ our Facebook page (Kesgrave-Cricket-Club), follow our Twitter page (@KesgraveCC1993) and our Instagram page (kesgravecc1993) as any cancellations or late changes will be posted here along with regular updates, scores and results. We now also have a mobile app which you can sign up to at https://kesgravecc.teamapp.com or install the Team App on your mobile device and find Kesgrave Cricket Club.
The Club do supply some kit such as helmets, but many players like to have their own clothing and protective equipment.
All KCC kit must be ordered through our club website. Junior sizes are available for most items and you can even have your initials added for an extra £2. Please go to the club website for more details. We also offer clothing for training and casual wear. Follow the instructions and please add our club name when you check out so we get cash back to spend on training equipment.
We promote the re-use of kit and clothing, so please bring any equipment or clothing you have outgrown to the coaching sessions or post an entry on the forum of our website.
Please either complete the online membership/consent form or print the form available on the club website. The membership/consent form must be fully completed every year and signed by a parent or guardian. Submission of the online form will be taken as approval. Please fill in an email address on the manual form as it will help us to keep you informed of all events. Payment is again available online which really helps us with administration. Please pay by bank transfer if you can but we have now added the option to pay by Debit and Credit Card using our stripe account.
Please note that the Club has a Code of Conduct which players and supporters are required to adhere to. This can be found on the pavilion notice board and on the website. Please take time to read these documents.
We will be entering teams in various leagues again this year which will give the players an opportunity to play against other clubs. We are also taking part in the All Stars initiative this year for ages 5-8. This is directed at boys and girls who are new to cricket. These sessions will take place on Sunday mornings from 12th May for 8 weeks and details can be found on the all stars website.
We would ask that you please try to provide lifts to away matches or arrange some lift sharing if your child is playing in an away match to help out our coaches. In the event that your child needs to get a lift with the coach we will use your signature on this form as permission that this is permitted. Please contact the coach for your age group for more details.
Please be assured that we will try to contact you as soon as possible in the unlikely event of injury or health problems. Please keep your contact details up to date and make yourself available whilst your child is in the care of the club. Please ensure your child brings a drink, a hat and sun block and is either picked up from coaching sessions and matches or can make their own way home. We will also notify parents/legal guardians/carers if a child under 17 is selected for a senior match. Please make sure your contact details are up to date. If we feel the child is not adequately protected from the sun, we reserve the right to remove the child from outdoor activities.
The club is always on the lookout for volunteers and new coaches so if you would like to help out in any way, please indicate this on the application form below or speak to one of the coaches or committee members through the website. It could be helping out with making the teas at our senior matches, manning the bar or even getting involved with the administration of the club. The club relies on volunteers and most of our current volunteers have either been parents of juniors or in many cases juniors themselves who are now giving something back to the club.
Thank you once again for all your continued support and co-operation. Please contact Richard Bradley (07824 368123) who is the Club Welfare Officer if you have any concerns at all, either before or during the season.
Please complete the junior application form and also the online social membership application form if you would like to make use of our bar facility.
Please pass on these details to any of your child’s friends who may be interested in joining the club, recommendations are the best way to increase our membership and it helps the youngsters if they have some friends with them.
We always like to receive feedback so please feel free to speak to any club official or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to pass on any feedback about the club, the website or the coaching.
