We are delighted you wish to register your child for a place at The Perse School.

Please ensure you read the Admissions Policy before completing the registration form.

You will be asked to upload your child's passport/visa, most recent school report, and a text document outlining your child's hobbies and interests (500 words max). Ideally, it should be written by the child, or can be a collaborative effort! Unfortunately the form cannot be saved part way through, so ensure you have these ready before you begin.

The Perse is a day school and pupils should live within reasonable commuting distance of the School (usually defined as within 1 hour travelling time). The School does not usually consider bursary applications from families who, at the time of registration, live outside a reasonable travelling distance to the School.

Confidential Information

The information requested on this form is needed because the School has contractual and statutory duties towards your child. For more information about how the School will use your information, and your child's information, please see the privacy notices available on the website. The information provided in this section will enable the School to safeguard your child when they are on school site and to consider any reasonable adjustments that it may need to make to assist your child to partake in the admissions procedure and when assessing candidates, or when they enter the School - how best to support their wellbeing and education should they become a pupil.

The School shall determine the reasonable adjustments or access arrangements that are required in the Perse Entrance Assessments for the applicant based on the information in this section and in consultation with the Head of Learning Support. Any relevant information should be provided at least two weeks before attending entrance assessments. Late requests will not be accepted, except in the case of recent injury.

Help with fees (known as a bursary)

We suggest you visit the Help with Fees page to learn more about our bursary scheme. If you request help with fees, you will be asked to complete a detailed statement of financial circumstances form, and a home visit will be arranged. The bursary assessment process is handled separately from the admissions process.

The School does not usually consider bursary applications from families who, at the time of registration, live outside a reasonable travelling distance to the School (defined as within one hour’s travelling time). Families who live outside this area but who wish to be considered for bursary funding should contact the School Accountant via bursary-application@perse.co.uk to discuss their particular circumstances.

Please note - if you wish to be considered for means tested assistance with school fees, you must indicate this at the point of registration. If you do not do so, and your child is offered a place on a full-fee paying basis there will not be a further opportunity to apply for bursary funding. The only exception to this would be if you experience a serious change in your financial circumstances after your child has been in the school for 12 months minimum, which could not reasonably have been foreseen at the time of acceptance and is beyond your control.

- Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
- Universal Credit

By signing this registration form we, the holders of parental responsibility for this child, accep and agree that:

The child be registered as a prospective pupil and sit entrance assessments. I will pay the non-refundable Registration Fee of £240 (inclusive of VAT) via the following payment screen. I understand that this does not secure our child a place at the school but does ensure our child will be considered for selection as a pupil at the school.

I understand that this information will be used by the School during the admissions process in order to manage and assess the application and my child’s suitability for a place at the School. I have read the Admissions Policy (available on the website at perse.co.uk/policies-inspection)

I have provided details of all those with parental responsibility for the child within this registration form and no one else holds parental responsibility, and that there are no undeclared court orders in respect of the child. I understand the school will contact other people with parental responsibility to inform them of the progress of this application, give details of entrance testing, and seek their consent to the child joining the School.

I understand and accept that the School may (i) undertake a credit check with a credit reference agency; (ii) require us to provide the School's Bursar with a bank reference an/or up to date credit report (including credit score), (iii) ask us to demonstrate our ability to meet the School's fees and charges and the legitimate source of funds we will use to pay those fees and charges; (iv) provide evidence of our identities and our child's identity; and or (v) provide evidence that we are not subject to or within the purview of any national or international financial, economic, trade, travel or similar sanctions imposed by any competent authority,

I agree to allow any of the school staff to administer the medication(s) specified in the medical section of this form for minor ailments and to administer first aid should the need arise. I further consent to the giving of any urgent medical or surgical treatment to my child which is considered necessary by medical authorities during the visit. I understand that in the case of accident or serious illness all reasonable attempts will be made to contact me as soon as possible.

Thank you for completing this registration form, a copy of which will be emailed to you. You will NOT receive a further confirmation email, and you will next hear from us after the 1 December deadline, just before the January assessment day.

When you click submit, please do not close the window until the payment screen displays, as it may take a few moments for your form to be processed.

You will then be transferred to the payment screen to make payment of the registration fee, which is the final step required to submit your application (unless you have uploaded evidence of Free School Meal Entitlement). The registration fee reflects the costs incurred by the School in administering the admissions process before the offer of a place is made and is non-refundable irrespective of whether or not the registered child attends the entrance tests.

Please ensure that the child’s surname and year group they are applying for is quoted as a reference so that the payment can be matched to their application. Failure to do so may delay your application (e.g. Y7Smith, Y9Brown).
