MAKING A DONATION TO CANDO FROM THE US AND RECEIVING A TAX RECEIPT (The minimum gift amount for receiving US Tax Receipt is £2,000 or $3,200)

In common with many UK charities, CanDo does not have a sister charity in the US and therefore we cannot issue receipts which are recognized by the US tax authorities. However, CanDo uses the services of a partner who is registered in the UK and the US and process US donations in a way that you can receive US tax receipt for your donation. Our partner, National Philanthropic Trust NPT-UK is a UK/US dual qualified charity (http://www.npt-uk.org). Donations to NPT-UK are recognized for tax purposes in both countries simultaneously. NPT-UK is an independent UK charity (charity number 1153376) and is recognized by the IRS as a disregarded entity of the 501(c)(3) public charity National Philanthropic Trust in the US (EIN 23-7825575).
