SENSENET - Social Enterprises Sustainability Network

Recent studies have demonstrated that there are several reasons why organizations should embrace and integrate diversity and inclusion into their way of working. As an employer, if you want to be competitive, you need to be inclusive. If you want to survive on the market and if you want to be sustainable, you need to be inclusive.    Having an inclusive environment in the organisation supports creativity and innovation, improves workplace conditions with positive effects on the employees’ performance, motivation and health, increases organisational performances and, more generally, it helps organisations to be more sustainable in their actions and more competitive on the market. Being an inclusive and sustainable organisation is not just a matter of positive attitude, it requires a real commitment of the management and a structured long-term strategy to support the change within your organisation.  The Performance Assessment Tool has been designed as a two-fold instrument, with a self-assessment questionnaire and a supporting “first-aid kit” of additional resources. The questionnaire you are about to complete aims at supporting you in identifying the level of inclusiveness of your organisation and which kind of contents and tools could be important for you to set a more inclusive environment in your organisation, offering at the same time resources to start to know more. This tool is just the first step of the learning path foreseen by the SENSENET project (www.sensenet-project.org), which will offer you a complete tailored learning programme on the main aspects that need to be addressed in an organisation to create an inclusive environment and becoming more competitive and sustainable in the open market.
