TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Deposit:
We require a minimum £30 deposit to secure your booking. Payment can be made via the paypal and must be received within 48 hours to secure your booking date. Once your deposit is paid that amount will be deducted from your final payment.
Please note: The deposit amount is per booking and not for each inflatable/equipment you book.
Your deposit is non-refundable however can be transferred if you wish to change your hire date or equipment.
Once we have received your booking we will email an invoice for you to pay your deposit then once we have received your deposit your booking will be confirmed by another email. If we DO NOT receive your deposit within 48 hours the equipment you wanted to book will become available for others to book.
If your booking is due to be outdoors and bad weather conditions occur on your hire day (heavy rain/high winds etc) we may need to cancel your booking due to health and safety risks, if this occurs then your deposit can be transferred to another date within 12 months of your hire date.
Payment Terms:
The remaining balance is to be paid on the day and must be made to the driver on delivery of the equipment in cash. We do not accept cheques or cards on the day of the hire.
Payment for wedding hire must be received at least 7 days before your hire date. We will also post a disclaimer form to you before the day which must be read, signed and returned to us which we must receive before your hire date. This is to make it easier for both parties and to ensure your day runs as smoothly as possible.
Cancellations:
Cancellations within 7 days of the hire date are subject to a 25% charge of the total hire charge.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the hire date are subject to a 50% charge of the total hire charge.
Cancellations within 4 hours of the delivery time or upon delivery will be subject to 100% charge of the total hire charge.
Cancellations can be made on the day of hire if wet weather occurs (subject to our discretion) as long as at least 2 hours notice is given by calling us on 07730272800
If you cancel within the time scales above then your cancellation amount will include deposit amount paid.
E.g. If you hire an inflatable for £100 and pay £30 deposit (leaving £70 to pay on the day) then you cancel within 24 hours of the hire date you will incur a 50% charge of the total hire charge, which will mean there is £20 to pay for the cancellation as you already paid £30 deposit.
Please note: It is the hirer's responsibility to check the space required for their chosen inflatable and ensure there is enough space provided, this includes the distance from trees, walls etc.. All sizes are written on each inflatable description. On delivery, if the inflatable will not fit in the space provided the hirer will still be charged the total outstanding amount of the hire. We cannot be held responsible if the inflatable does not fit. All required sizes are clearly shown on each description.
If power is not available on the day for whatever reason full payment will still be taken. If you require generators, petrol blowers or extra extensions leads these can be supplied with prior arrangement. Each inflatable requires one suitable plug socket, either a 13amp household plug or a 16amp cee form socket. The fans to inflate the inflatables run at 1.1kw and take approximately 2.5kw for initial start up. If supplying your own generator please ensure you have checked it is suitable for the required power needed.
Please note: Safety is our number one priority at all times. We reserve the right to refuse a hire for any reason if we feel health and safety law will be breached in any way. Our staff are fully trained in the safe use of inflatables and their say is final.
The weather plays a large factor in outdoor hires, in certain circumstances we may need to cancel a hire on the day due to bad weather ie. extreme rain or wind. Please see the next section for an explanation on anchorage and wind speeds:
Setting up safely
When setting up, carry out the following safety checks in line with the inflatable’s operator manual:
No inflatable should be used in winds above 24 mph (38 kmph), which is Force 5 on the Beaufort Scale (small trees in leaf begin to sway)
Certain inflatables may have a lower maximum wind speed for operation. Always check the manufacturer’s operating manual to confirm the maximum wind speed for the safe operation of the inflatable
When the inflatable is being operated outside, use an anemometer to measure the wind speed at regular intervals. If one of these is not available, the inflatable should not be operated outside
Do not use smartphone weather applications to measure wind speed as they do not take localised wind conditions into account
When using the inflatable outside, all the anchor points must be used, with metal ground stakes at least 380 mm long and 16 mm wide, with a rounded top. They should have a welded metal 'O' or 'D' ring fitted to the end
All inflatables must have at least 6 anchor points. The operator manual will tell you how many there should be, and you should check to ensure they are all still in place and have not been removed
The ropes used to secure the inflatable should be in good condition and not stretched, frayed or rotten. Never use improvised tow ropes, eg bungee cord
If ground stakes cannot be used because of the surface (eg tarmac) then use ballast weighing at least 163 kg with suitable fixings to attach the guy ropes. The inflatable should be tightly secured to the ground so that the wind cannot get under it and lift it up
If an inflatable is being used indoors, refer to the operator’s manual which will provide instruction on what anchorage is necessary to maintain the shape of the device and prevent overturn
All other associated equipment must be safe, including the blower
Terms and Conditions of Hire
It is the responsibility of the person who is hiring this Bouncing Castle to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to the Inflatable.
Please ensure that the following Safety Instructions are followed:
Each unit has an age limit. Please ensure no-one over this age uses the equipment.
(Childrens castles are usually 12 years, Adult castles are 70 years)
No food, drinks or chewing gum to be allowed on or near the bouncy castle which will avoid choking and mess (Please note if the inflatable is collected in a dirty condition then the person hiring it will incur a cleaning charge)
All shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges and other sharp objects MUST be removed before using the inflatable.
No party poppers, coloured streamers or silly string to be used either on or near the Bouncy Castle. Only Snazaroo face paints can be used on any of our inflatables.
No smoking, barbeques or fires within 20 metres of the equipment.
Climbing, hanging or sitting on walls is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed at any time. It may also cause damage to the inflatable.
Users must remove their shoes before using the inflatables and put them back on when getting off the inflatable if they wish to use the inflatable again.
A responsible adult over 18 years of age must supervise the equipment at all times.
Always ensure that the inflatable is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of children using it. Each inflatable has the amount of uses printed onto it on the safety tag.
Try to avoid large and small children from using it at the same time. Avoid more boisterous children using the inflatables at the same time as younger children.
Adults and children must not use any inflatable at the same time.
Please ensure children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause harm to other children.
Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step under any circumstances as a child could easily bounce off the inflatable and get hurt. The step is there to aid users in getting on or off the inflatable!
Ensure that no-one with a history of back or neck problems is allowed on the bouncy castle at any time as indeed any child who is feeling unwell or ill.
Do not allow anyone to be on the bouncy castle during inflation or deflation as this is highly DANGEROUS and could result in serious injury.
No pets, toys or sharp instruments to be allowed on or near the inflatable at any time.
Please ensure that children are not attempting somersaults or backflips and are clothed appropriately. (We recommend socks are used, but no shoes to be worn on the inflatable and swimming attire on the water slide.)
Ensure that an area of 6 feet (2 metres) around the unit is completely clear of anything that may cause damage or injury to any persons or the inflatable.
In the event of heavy rain, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable is not used. A water hose can be used on the inflatable water slide.
It is the hirers responsibility to point out / mark any underground services where the inflatables are to be sited. Our anchor stakes are 380mm long and services should be deeper. However, this isn't always the case. We will not be held liable for any damage caused to underground services that we aren't pre-warned about. In the event that the blower stops working, please ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately. Then please call us immediately.
Any damage or loss to the inflatables will result in the hirer being charged for the repair/ replacement in full and any associated costs including loss of hire etc.
Please note: It is the hirers responsibility to check the space required for their chosen inflatable and ensure there is enough space provided, this includes trees and walls. All sizes are written on each inflatable description. On delivery, if the inflatable will not fit in the space provided the hirer will still be charged the total outstanding amount of the hire. We cannot be held responsible if the inflatable does not fit, All required size are clearly shown on each description.
On booking our equipment you are agreeing to abide by the terms and conditions above, you will also be required to sign a paper copy on the day on delivery of the equipment.
Instructions will be provided to use the Monster Foam cannon. No deviation from these instructions is allowed. A manual will be provided to use the Monster foam cannon, which will include the correct amount of foaming solution to water.
