▼ What length and/or format video should I provide?
Length shouldn’t exceed 5 mins
Please send a link (YouTube or Vimeo).
The video should NOT be password protected. On Vimeo and Youtube, you can upload a video but change the Privacy/Visibility settings to “unlisted”. It means that only people with the link can view it. It is a good substitute to a password protected video as it is not public.
Note: the video will not be shared and will be used as an audition material only.
▼ When will I receive the result of my application?
We will respond to both successful and unsuccessful applications, week commencing Tuesday 3rd September.
▼ Can I audition by video and not attend an audition?
Unfortunately we will not be accepting video-only applications on this occasion.
▼ I am only free on one of the audition dates, can I still apply?
You can still apply, but most likely candidates who are available for all days will be given precedence to attend the audition. We strongly encourage people to be available on both dates of Round 1, either in Berlin or Munich, as well as for the Final Casting day in Munich.
▼ I missed the deadline, will you accept a late application?
No. Unfortunately, we cannot accept late applications.
▼ I am not from Munich or Berlin, can my travel and/or accommodation be reimbursed?
No, accommodation, travel and subsistence must be covered by the applicant.
▼ Can you give me more details about the audition process/ structure?
For the first-round auditions, invited dancers will be expected to warm up themselves before your invited call-time, and will then be taught some repertoire and improvisation tasks. You might be asked to show a short solo, so have something prepared that you think is relevant in the context of this audition and shows something very personal about yourself. On the second day, dancers who are called back will keep working on this, followed by a more theatrical workshop with Anouk van Dijk and Falk Richter, working on improvisation, text and other creative assignments.
▼ What clothes should I wear to audition in?
Clothing that you feel comfortable dancing in. Also bring some street clothes, and shoes you feel comfortable dancing in.
▼ Do I need to prepare a solo?
You can have a solo prepared that you see as relevant in the context of the creations Falk and Anouk make, and that bring out something personal in you.
▼ Do I need to bring a printed copy of my headshot?
No, you only need to upload a digital copy to the application form as part of the application process.
▼ Do I need to bring food?
Food will not be provided. Please note: it is not permitted to eat inside the studios but there are public spaces in and outside the building where it is fine to do so.
