One of the best things about studying for a University degree is often the stuff that you do outside of the classroom!
Our student groups on campus provide a home for almost 2,500 students to meet each other, develop their skills and ultimately have some fun. We host an incredibly diverse range of societies, as well as academic socieities linked to your course and of course our sports clubs! Being part of a sports club here at Huddersfield is a tradition that has lasted since the Union’s formation in 1927 (ninety-two years ago!).
Setting up or indeed sitting on the committee of a society is one of the best and most rewarding experiences that you’ll have during your time at Huddersfield. You’ll learn how to project manage, communicate effectively & plan and deliver events to name just a few.
We’re here to provide advice, administrative support and a helping hand in developing your society to be the best it can possibly be.
If you’ve got any questions or want to run an idea past us, please don’t hesitate to come say hello!
Please note, there is a separate guide entitled Committee Handbook that contains lots of guidance and tips to help you make the most of your year.
