Guidelines for Creative Residencies
A Creative Residency will provide your students with the unique experience of working as a professional theatre company. The residency will be led by two Creative Practitioners, with support from your organisation.
Dates:
Creative Residencies are available across the UK all year round. Please provide your preferred dates in the form below and we will contact you to confirm availability. If the date is unavailable, we will work with you to find an alternative.
Duration:
3 – 5 days
Venue:
To be held at your school or venue.
The space must be of reasonable size (approx. 10m x 10m), be warm and have a suitable floor for exercise (i.e. sprung or wooden floor, NOT carpet or concrete). Please ensure that the floor has been swept and that there are no hazards in the space. The performance space should be available for the full day on the final day of the residency.
Cost:
Frantic Assembly will provide a quotation based on your requirements.
If you are based in the EU, as a VAT registered company, we have to apply 20% ECG for any recharges that we invoice for.
Participants:
Age 14 + only.
Participants must be advised to wear loose and comfortable clothing and trainers suitable for exercise. NO jeans, NO jewellery and NO short skirts. Participants must be made aware of the physical and movement-based nature of the workshop, prior to the workshop. Frantic Assembly must be informed of any special needs or medical requirements in advance.
Numbers:
10-24 participants per group (even numbers are preferable).
We cannot work with more than 24 in a group.
Equipment:
A loud sound system with an mp3 connection must be provided.
Staff Support:
Please ensure that one member of staff is available to provide technical support on the final day of the residency and for the performance (the level of support required will be determined by the practitioners in the lead up to the performance). Please arrange front of house staff or stewarding for the performance.
Safety:
A member of staff must be present for the entire duration of the workshop.
Your organisation is responsible for health and safety, first aid and behaviour management.
Promotion:
Please do promote the performance widely so that your students can experience performing as a company in front of an audience. However, you must not circulate any press or publicity materials without prior consent from Frantic Assembly and ensure that all publicity includes the Frantic Assembly logo, which can be requested from maya@franticassembly.co.uk.
Photography:
Photographs must not be shared without the prior consent of Frantic Assembly. You can request consent by contacting maya@franticassembly.co.uk
