You are submitting an offer to rent property in a Houseshare, which is a communal living arrangement. Because you will be sharing space with others, it’s a little bit more like sharing an office space with workmates and as such, we have certain house rules you must abide by.
Have a read over these rules, and if you believe you will not be able to abide by these rules for the full duration of your tenancy, we advise you choose to rent elsewhere.
SenecaRooms House Rules
1. No smoking or drug use in the house. We have a zero tolerance policy.
2. No overnight guests more than 3 nights in any week.
And guests must always be accompanied by the tenant.
3. No children (under 18’s) permitted overnight.
4. Your home is your and your housemate’s quiet sanctuary. Please respect others need for peace and calm in the house at all times of the day.
5. Your home needs you to operate as a teammate - you will be required to carry out household duties such as taking the rubbish out and cleaning up after yourself in the communal areas.
6. Respect other people’s belongings. Do not use or take the belongings of your housemates (even a sneaky splash of milk for your tea or cereal) without their prior consent.
7. Respect other people’s boundaries. If a housemate communicates that a personal boundary has been crossed, be humble, apologise, and do not do it again.
8. ALWAYS Communicate with respect - to your housemates and to us. We have zero tolerance to rude, aggressive or violent behaviour.
9. Treat your home with respect - make sure doors and windows are locked behind you in order to keep the house secure, use utilities (water, gas, electric etc) thoughtfully and without being wasteful, be hygienic and clean after yourself...
10. Honesty. We are all human and make mistakes/have accidents from time to time. No biggie. If you cause any damage/break anything/leave a door unlocked etc in the house, we expect you to own up. Honesty breeds trust.
