A College of Arts & Law Inclusivity Project

Friday 27th September, 16:30-18:00, Welcome Marquee

  • Pride Not Prejudice: A College of Arts and Law Inclusivity Project is a pilot initiative where we encourage you to read one of five books exploring themes around equality, diversity, and inclusivity. This will feed into this launch event at the end of Welcome Week where there will be readings from the books and an opportunity to discuss your thoughts over refreshments with staff and other incoming students across the College.

To find out more please visit our Canvas site.

    Our five books are:

Reni Eddo-Lodge, Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race

Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Jeanette Winterson, Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit

Matt Haig, Reasons to Stay Alive

Robert Webb, How Not To Be A Boy
