Entry to the HND Acting and Performance course is by audition only.

This will enable staff to judge a realistic assessment of your suitability for the qualification and requirements for the course.

You will be asked to perform two monologues to a panel, there will a short interview and you may be asked to take part in a workshop.

Higher English and/or Higher Drama are recommended but not essential.

Previous performance experience is preferred but not essential to access this programme and applications are welcome from candidates of all levels.

A satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau disclosure will be required for successful applicants to courses which include placements where students work with children or vulnerable adults.
Fees Information:

It is important to remember that this is a private course, and we are in the process of registering it with relevant funding bodies (eg SAAS) who may be able to support you. The course fees are £6000 plus a £250 administrative fee per year.

For SCOTTISH Students funded by SAAS, they will pay £1205 of your fees. You may also be entitled to a Loan and/or bursary from the Scottish Government.

Once you have auditioned, we will let you know of the result within 10 working days. If you were to be offered a place on the September 2020 intake, then we would send you a contract which requires you to pay the deposit for the fees (£500) within 30 days of offer, and then you may choose to make payment via SAAS (direct payment) and pay for the rest from your Student Loan. If you're not using a funding body, you will be able to pay the balance of the fees of the course in monthly installments.

If you wish to proceed with the audition it should be with the understanding of the financial commitment required. It is very important that you do not seek to audition to ascertain whether you would be offered a place, if then later you are not in a position to be able to afford it.
