Jewellery Recycling Pre-Assessment

Please fill out and submit this form for each jewel you would like to recycle . The aim of this form is to make a pre assessment of the value of your jewels. The information you provide us with will enable us to give you a value for the materials, stones and metal in your jewels. With this information you can decide if you would like to proceed further and send us your jewels to be assessed by our experts. We value the metals at market price and the stones at resale value.

    Getting Started

    Tips:

1, You may need a magnifying glass to identify hallmarks.

2, Hallmarks may need to be cleaned for identification. Use a houshold detergent, warm water and a toothbrush, soaking for half an hour in warm soapy water will help.

3, We require two or three photos of your jewellery to help us identify it. A great idea is to use your smart phone camera and use the zoom on the camera for close-ups.

4, Take photos of your jewel in daylight. Near a window, on a white surface.

Metal quality. Look for a hallmark, you may need a magnifying glass ! Look for  numbers such as '750' '583' '375' '18kt'  '15ct' There are many different types of hallmark and you may need eagle eyes to see the mark accurately. The mark is often to be found on a necklace catch or on inside of a ring or bangle. It may take some time to locate it. If your jewel is made of precious metal it should have a hallmark. If there is no hallmark, it may have worn away, or your jewel is made of a base metal, brass, bronze or nickel. Please make your selection from our drop down menu below.

Now we have some information about your jewel, we will make an assesment from your description and photgraphs

To note; we may not be able to give you an accurate assessment from your information. We will let you know our assessment based on your information by email.

If you are happy with the results, the next step is to send us the pieces you would like to recycle by insured post. Fully insure the pieces for the amount of value in our assessment. We are not liable for any loss or damage incurred by post or courier services.

Once we have your jewels, we will assess them by weighing and testing the metals and stones. The results may be different to your assessment. This could be a higher or lower value. Its often quite difficult to see a hallmark, some are worn away and some are fake. Some stones are what we call paste, glass versions of real stones and some paste stones are difficult to identify. We will let you know if there are any discrepancies and if you are not completly happy to go ahead and recycle we will send back your jewels free of charge.
