The composition of your thesis jury needs to be validated by the directors of the doctoral school before being authorized by the university. To simplify this process, this form allows you to list the proposed jury members and modify the list as needed before obtaining final approval.
Please note that:
- The jury can consiste of 4 to 8 members, who can be either French or foreigner. At least half of the members should be external to the university you're registered in.
- Your PhD director and any co-director are members of the jury. The jury must be composed of a minimum of 5 members if you have two directors.
- At least half of the jury members should be external to the university you are registered in.
- At least one jury member should be from the university you're registered in.
- At least half of the jury members need to be professors (PR) or research directors (DR).
- You will need two reviewers (rapporteurs) to read your manuscript and send a review to the doctoral school and university. Neither of them should be affiliated to your university or have an ongoing/recent collaboration with your research group (no joint publication in the last 10 years). If they are both foreign researchers, at least one of them should be a professor. You will have to provide a CV for each foreign reviewer.
This CV should notably show the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) equivalence
by listing their key publications as last author with their PhD student as first author.
- Your jury should be as gender-balanced as possible.
- A maximum of one of your TAC members can be in your thesis jury.
- Invited members are not considered jury members.
