** Deadline for applications is Monday January 6th 2020 **
What's on Offer at Clay 2020?We've had three incredible years celebrating all that is clay here in North Devon. Our Ceramics Festival sees talented emerging makers from across the South West exhibit alongside established potters from the British studio pottery scene. The reputation of this event has grown so that we attract both exhibitors and visitors from from further afield each year so for 2020, the 4th Clay: A festival of Ceramics, I made the decision to move the event to a venue that is easy to access and with a much larger potential catchment area, whilst still being accessible to our North Devon audience. I want to give each and every exhibitor the very best opportunity possible to have a great show.
Our new venue Exeter Race Course was chosen over other venues in the Exeter area because it offers the following:- Ease of access being 5 miles from the end of the M5 Southbound
- Indoor venue so not weather dependent
- Light and airy rooms over looking the racecourse
- Free parking for both exhibitors and visitors
- Free wi-fi for card machines
- Access to the venue the evening before for set up
- Camping facilities on site for affordable accommodation
- Clay 2020 will have its own website URL and social media pages, making it easy to tag and follow
Tables fees will be a standard £275 per exhibitor and everyone will have the same space.
Table space will be approx 6ft x 3ft (approx 1.8 m x 1m) (this is the size of your actual table or stand not your space). There will be additional space behind your table for you to stand and space to the side to enter and exit as well as space in front for visitors to browse and buy your work. You will need to supply your own stand, plinths or tables.
You will not need to wrap and pack (unless you really want to) as we are offering a free wrapping service for all purchases (large and small) using an eco alternative to plastic bubble warp.
A Heads-UpBefore you get cracking with this application form, please be aware that you'll need to submit a minimum of three cracking images that showcase your work. Make sure your photos are at least 1MB. All your images MUST be properly labelled and have your artist's name as the file name and if there's room for the title of the piece in the image, even better.
* Your application will not be accepted if your image files aren't labelled this way *
Just saying now before you start getting your teeth into this form.
If you're ready let's get started with the form filling bit ....
Please submit three images of your work.
The images should reflect your range of work but do not have to be pieces that you will bring to the event (as you may be making new work for this).
The images must be AT LEAST 1MB.
If your images are smaller than 1MB you won't be able to submit this application form.
Please also remember to make sure your photos are labelled with your name or business name in the file name. So if the file of your image is called IMG1234 etc you need to rename it something like 'Your Name Awesome Pot 1'
* Your application will automatically be rejected if you don't do this *This is because I download all the images from JotForm in bulk and then spend far too long renaming photos and trying to match them to the correct artist. I'd much rather spend the time promoting all my super talented artists and the event. Plus it only takes a couple of minutes for you to do this yourself.
Thank you for your patience, time and cooperation filling out this form. Here's a timeline of what happens next:Applications for Clay: A Festival of Ceramics close on January 6th.
We will confirm the success of your application by Monday January 13th
You will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of £100 on your stand by January 31st. You will receive an invoice for this by email along with notification of your successful application.
If your application is successful, the remainder of your stand fee will need to be paid by Tuesday March 31st.
VERY IMPORTANT LAST WORD
This really is so importantPLEASE, please, please do make sure you can receive emails from hello@devon-pop-ups.co.uk otherwise you may not receive your acceptance email from me, which would be a crying shame for everyone. And, sadly, if I don't get a response from you, I'll assume you've changed your mind and will offer your space to another maker.
